The New South Wales Government has advised that from 11:59pm last night, 17 March 2021, the requirement for COVID-19 testing and self-isolation on arrival in Sydney for travellers commencing their journey in Auckland is no longer required for passengers on quarantine-free flights.

The following conditions still apply for travel on quarantine-free flights to Sydney:

  • Passengers travelling from New Zealand will be required to complete the Australia Travel Declaration (ATD) before departure to present at check-in. If the passenger does not present a completed form, they may not be able to board their flight.
  • All passengers are also required to complete a New South Wales declaration form which at this stage, will be handed out and completed onboard the flight.
  • Passengers arriving into Australia on a quarantine-free flight are currently exempt from
    pre-departure testing.
