Skywest reports combined August traffic

SkyWest, Inc. (NASDAQ: SKYW) reported an 8.5 percent increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for August, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 5.7 percent compared to the same period last year. The combined airlines generated 1.67 billion RPMs for the month, while ASMs increased to 2.10 billion. Load factor was up 2.1 percentage points to 81.5 percent compared to 79.4 percent for the same period last year. Passenger boardings for August totaled 3,245,316 a 6.8 percent increase from August 2008.
