Making careers fly with Monarch Airlines and CTC Wings

19-Jun-2013 Monarch, the leading scheduled leisure airline has, once again, selected world-leading airline training provider, CTC as its exclusive partner to provide a further group of aspiring pilots with the opportunity to train to become the airlines future pilots. This first class opportunity is all the more attractive as the airline will be part-sponsoring the training for successful applicants.

Furthermore, Monarch Airlines will also be providing the speaker at the forthcoming "CTC Wings Careers Event" open day on Saturday 10 August 2013 at CTC's Boeing and Airbus simulator centre in Southampton on the south coast of the United Kingdom.

Kevin George Managing Director of Monarch Airlines commented on the high standards of selection and training that CTC maintains: "CTC consistently delivers. Whether it is cadet pilot training or more advanced courses for already qualified, experienced pilots; the quality is consistently exceptional. Our first group of 'Monarch Wings' MPL graduates will begin flying with us very soon and we have already seen an impressive increase in their capacity and skill. We have enjoyed monitoring their progress and working alongside the CTC team to support their development throughout their training. We have a further group in training with CTC right now and we are delighted to be able to offer even more opportunities for our next generation of pilots to benefit from the same high quality training."

At a previous CTC open day event in 2011, Captain Martin Dudley, Head of Pilot Training, announced that almost one quarter of the airline's pilot work-force were CTC Wings pilots. Since then the airline has continued to regularly select graduates of CTC's own cadet development programme, 'CTC Wings', as well as pre-selecting and part-sponsoring pilots through the 'Monarch Wings' MPL programme.

Speaking on behalf of CTC Aviation, Lee Woodward, CTC's Director of Business Development, said - "Monarch Airlines has become an extremely popular airline amongst our 'CTC Wings' pilot graduates - interest levels are always high when we are recruiting our qualified 'CTC Wings' Cadets graduates for Monarch. Whilst this particular opportunity will involve pre-selection prior to commencement of training, Monarch is one of several airlines that remain committed to both pre-selection for MPL and supplementing their cadet requirement numbers by employing pilots who have graduated from our 'CTC Wings' integrated ME CPL/IR programme. We are enormously proud of our unique, global airline connections which enable us to provide the very best opportunities to our 'CTC Wings' graduates, and we work extremely hard on behalf of our cadets and graduates to ensure they all not only achieve the highest results and standards through training, but even more importantly, that we place every single one of our graduates with one of our Partner Airlines."

Cadets undertaking training through 'CTC Wings' who wish to add a BSc Honours Degree in Professional Pilot Practice may now do so (subject to meeting the degree entry criteria).

Those interested in applying for the current 'Monarch Wings' intake should do so by 30 June 2013(1)
