Air Belgium to launch its first schedule service to Hong Kong International Airport

Air Belgium, the new Belgian airline, announces today that it will introduce its first scheduled service between Hong Kong with Belgium, aiming at the second half of April 2018. The online sales will be undertaken as soon as cleared by the Regulator. Tickets will be sold through Air Belgium's Internet platform on www.airbelgium.com and be distributed through GDS and Travel Agencies.

Niky Terzakis, Chief Executive Officer, Air Belgium said "Hong Kong has long been an important market for our airline. We are going to establish our Asian hub in this energetic city and our intention is to recruit about 100 staff members this year. It gives us all at Air Belgium great pleasure that we will be able to step into the Hong Kong and China markets. We expect to add six more Chinese destinations by the end of summer 2018, as growing business opportunities between Chinese and Belgian companies. This new route will bring true Belgian hospitality and experience to our passengers. It is no surprise if we elected to operate our very first service to Hong Kong International. We could not have opted for a better airport destination, with excellent quality of service, friendliness and a very convenient Asian hub."

Air Belgium's Airbus A340 brings the authentic Belgian coziness and experience on board. Passengers are offered a choice of Belgian products, great catering and comfort, inflight entertainment and many more features. Two menus will be available for every economy and premium class passengers, while three menu options will be offered for business class passengers.

Air Belgium flies from Brussels South Charleroi Airport to Hong Kong every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday at 2:00 PM. The Airbus A340 lands in Hong Kong at 7:30 AM local time, after a twelve-hour flight. Flights back to Belgium leave every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday by 11:30 AM to arrive at Brussels South by 6:30 PM afternoon.

Brussels South Airport is known for its efficiency, expedited terminal process ensuring that a minimal time is wasting before departure or after landing. Its location will spare passengers from road congestions around the capital city of Brussels whatever your end destination is.
