About
Son La Provincial People's Committee proposed the Ministry of Transport add Moc Chau Airport to the national airport plan. The province expects that under phase one until 2030, Moc Chau would be a civil airport with an expected capacity of one million passengers p/a. Phase 2 after 2030 would see the airport handle a capacity of two million passengers p/a. The airport would be built on approximately 350 hectares by 2030, expanding to 500 hectares by 2050. The estimated total airport investment is approximately VND6.5 trillion (USD276.3 million) in the form of public-private partnership.
