Oaktree Capital delivers risk control, credit strategy and investment management services, specialising in less efficient markets and alternative investments. The firm was established in 1995 and is headquartered in Los Angeles. Highstar Capital, acquired by Oaktree in 2014, provides consultation in investment strategy and invests on behalf of managed funds and co-investors. Highstar has invested in natural gas projects, waste management programmes as well as transport infrastructure including San Juan Luis Munoz Airport and the Port of Baltimore. The group also has a 25% stake in London City Airport.
