The Autorità per l'Aviazione Civile e la Navigazione Marittima (Civil Aviation and Maritime Navigation Authority) is the civil aviation authority charged with the promotion of aviation safety and setting regulatory measures to improve security and safety. The Republic of San Marino was established as a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in 1988, and became a member of the European Civil Aviation Conference.
