About
Solent Airport, formerly Daedalus airfield, is owned by Fareham Borough Council and operated by Regional & City Airports, which may introduce commercial operations soon. Facilities at Solent Airport include newly CAA Licensed Aerodrome with a new runway surface, aircraft refuelling, on-site engineering, hangarage, outdoor parking, along with flying tuition and flight experiences. It is the site of an Enterprise Zone, Daedalus, which is the largest employment site in the area and set to become the premier location for aviation, aerospace engineering and advanced manufacturing businesses in the south.
