About
Port Gentil International Airport is Gabon's second largest airport and is located 3km northwest of the city of Port-Gentil. The airport handles domestic as well as international services from Cameroon and the Republic of Congo. Port Gentil also serves as the hub for Afric Aviation. French company Matrex; in conjunction with the Gabonese Government is currently undertaking a redevelopment of the airport's facilities; constructing a new 5800m2 terminal building and extending the existing runway to 2600m. A second 3000m runway is planned for completion in 2015.
