Mysore Airport serves the city of Mysore (also known as Mysuru), the third largest in Karnataka, India. The airport is located 10km south of the city, and is also known as Mandakalli Airport. The airport was disussed for a number of decades until Kingfisher Airlines launched service to the airport in Oct-2010. Kingfisher's suspension in Oct-2012 left Mysore without a scheduled operator until SpiceJet commenced operations to Mysore in Jan-2013. SpiceJet later withdrew services from the airport on 27-Oct-2014. Airports Authority of India is engaging with Indian carriers to operate services to Mysore.
