Francisco Gabrielli International Airport, also known as El Plumerillo International Airport, serves the north-central Argentine city of Mendoza. The city is located at the foothills of the Andes, roughly opposite Santiago de Chile, and is the fourth largest metropolitan area in Argentina. Mendoza is well-served domestically, with Austral and Sol linking the city to numerous regional centres, while international services to Chile are offered by LAN Airlines and Aerolineas Argentinas. The airport is operated by state-owned Aeropuertos Argentina 2000.
