General Rafael Buelna International Airport serves the Mexican city of Mazatlan, a resort destination on Mexico's Pacific coast across from the Baja California peninsula. Whereas Culiacan Federal De Bachigualato Airport is Sinaloa State's main domestic gateway, Mazatlan is Sinaloa's main international gateway, being served by a number of North American full-service and seaonal charter carriers. A number of domestic carriers also serve the airport, linking it with a handful of domestic destinations. The airport is operated by OMA Grupo Aeropotuario Centro Norte.
