About

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is an international airport serving Liverpool and the Merseyside region in north west England. Liverpool has seen strong growth over the past decade, with LCCs Ryanair and easyJet operating hubs at the airport, serving destinations across Europe and North Africa. Owned by the Peel Group, Liverpool became an increasing threat to the nearby, larger Manchester Airport until the economic recession set in from 2008, when passenger numbers declined but in 2015 they began to grow again.
