HAL Bangalore International Airport (also known as Hindustan Aeronautics Limited Airport) serves the Bangalore region in India. The airport has been exclusively used as a testing facility by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and the Indian Armed Forces since the opening of Bengaluru International Airport in 2008. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited plans to construct a new INR700 million (USD12.9 million) terminal in order to re-establish passenger services and to relieve congestion at nearby airports.
