Caracas Simon Bolivar International Airport
Simon Bolivar International Airport serves the capital of Venezuela, Caracas, and is the busiest airport and main gateway to the country. The airport is located on the coast in Maiquetia and is also known as Maiquetia Airport. National carrier Conviasa, Aeropostal and Aserca Airlines have their hubs at Simon Bolivar. All major North American and Latin American carriers serve the airport, while Air Europa, Air France, Alitalia, Iberia, Lufthansa and TAP Portugal serve European destinations, in addition to Conviasa’s Madrid service. The airport is operated by state-owned Instituto Autónomo del Aeropuerto Internacional de Maiquetía (IAIM).
