Abadan Airport is an international airport serving the port city of Abadan, Iran. Located in the Arvand Free Zone, Abadan Airport was developed by the National Iranian Oil Company as an alternate to Mehrabad Airport. The airport still handles domestic and international services across the Middle East, and serves as an important hub for cargo transfers. It is operated by Iran Airports Holding Company.
