Xiongan Airlines is a proposed scheduled airline subsidiary of China Southern Airlines. To be based at Beijing Daxing International Airport, the start-up is part of China Southern‘s dual hub strategy. Xiongan Airlines is expected to operate domestic and international passenger services, cargo transportation, provide aircraft maintenance and sales services using A320 aircraft. China Southern plans to invest CNY2.5 billion (USD376.8 million) in cash and another CNY7.5 billion (USD1.1 billion) in assets to establish Xiongan Airlines. The carrier was expected to launch in 2019. A revised date has not been advised.
