Travel Air (PNG)
About
Headquartered in Madang, Travel Air PNG was a publicly-owned Papuan carrier based at Port Moresby Airport. The carrier operated passenger and freight services with Fokker 50 equipment, at a scheduled and chartered basis.
Travel Air PNG was forced to suspend service operations in Feb-2016, due to a court injunction. The court also ordered Travel Air to return four Fokker 50 aircraft to AeroCentury Corp for failure to pay lease payments. The carrier entered a JV agreement with Trans Global Investment, which agreed to supply three Fokker 50. Travel Air PNG planned to recommence in 2016.
