Thai VietJet Air is a low-cost carrier based at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. The carrier is a subsidiary of Vietnamese LCC, VietJet Air and is a JV between the carrier (49%) and Kan Air president Somphong Sooksanguan (51%). Mr Sooksanguan sold down his stake to unnamed local investors, leaving him with 10%. Thai VietJet Air commenced operations on 25-Mar-2015, with a Bangkok-Phuket service.
