About

Skylar Airways was a self-described “light premium” carrier that had planned to launch domestic charter services between mid Apr-2015 and Jun-2015. Skylar intended to expand to offer scheduled services in 2016, operating on secondary international routes not currently served by LCCs. The start-up planned to be based at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport. The carrier's international services planned to target serving inbound tourist traffic from China and India. Skylar proposed to operate a fleet of two leased 180-seat A320 aircraft and also considered further A319 and E190 aircraft. It is assumed the carrier has abandoned plans to launch operations.
