Orion Airways Cyprus is a proposed low-cost carrier to be based at Larnaca Airport, Cyprus. The carrier sought to launch operations in 2015 with services to Europe. Currently, it is in the process of obtaining an air operator's certificate from Cyprus' Civil Aviation Authority and planned to commence services in Dec-2016. Orion intends to operate two Boeing 737 aircraft initially before expanding its fleet to four aircraft after its second year. Aviation Capital Ventures PLC wholly owns the carrier. A precise launch date has not been specified.
