Kinda Airlines was a full-service start-up that planned to operate domestic and regional services from its proposed hub at Damascus International Airport. Kinda received regulatory approval to operate services from Damascus and Latakia to Amman, Baghdad and Kuwait and sought permits to operate to Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Despite sanctions imposed on Bashar al-Assad's regime, the carrier planned to launch operations in the first half of 2014. The carrier failed to launch service operations, and eventually shut down it's official website.
