Khonkaen Airlines
About
Khonkaen Airlines was a proposed new Thai carrier to be based at Khon Kaen Airport. Thailand's Khon Kaen Chamber of Commerce, Laos' Phongsavanh Group and Singapore's Mekong Group signed a MoU to conduct a study on the potential launch to be registered in Thailand. The carrier planned to operate aircraft provided by Phongsavanh Group, with Boeing 737 and 777 aircraft under consideration. Initial services would have connected Khon Kaen with destinations in the Mekong River region, China and elsewhere in Asia. A proposed launch date for Khonkaen Airlines has not been advised, it is assumed plans to launch the airline have been abandoned.
