About
Bakhtar Afghan Airlines, formerly known as Bakhtar Alwatana, was an Afghan service carrier based at Kabul International Airport. The carrier offered domestic services using turboprop and narrowbody equipment. Bakhtar Afghan merged in to Ariana Afghan Airlines in Feb-1988.
Afghanistan's National Procurement Authority approved an initial investment budget of approximately USD20 million to relaunch the carrier in Jan-2020.
