American West Jets
American West Jets is a proposed start-up that initially planned to launch services in May-2014. Its revised launch date is not known. The start-up is backed by American West Aircraft, a diversified aviation company, based in Nevada. American West Jets is seeking to relaunch the operations of defunct Ryan International Airlines. The carrier aims to serve destinations in the southwestern United States as well as in Central America. Following this, the carrier plans on rolling-out services to West Africa and the South Pacific. American West Jets initially intends to operate Boeing 747, Lockheed L-1011 and McDonnell Douglas MD-83 equipment.
