About

Established in 2007, MASwings was a regional carrier based at Kota Kinabalu International Airport, Malaysia. The carrier was a wholly-owned subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines that operated domestic services using a mixed fleet of turboprop equipment. MASwings was part of the transportation services division of Malaysia Aviation Group Bhd.

In Feb-2025, Sarawak's Government acquired MASwings from Malaysia Airlines Group. The airline was rebranded as AirBorneo and will operate as a full service airline providing rural air services, with plans for domestic and international expansion.
