Air Malawi
About
Air Malawi Limited began operations in 1964 as a subsidiary of Central African Airways. Following the latter's dissolution, the airline became independant and became the national airline of Malawi. Air Malwai was based at Chileka International Airport in Blantyre, Malawi and operated scheduled regional passenger services on a route network of six destinations including, Lilongwe, Johannesburg, Harare, Dar es Salaam and Lusaka. Despite two attempts to privatise the airline, it remained wholly-owned by the Malawian government before suspended services in Feb-2013.
