Originally founded in 1973, Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. is an American airline holding company based in Indianapolis, Indiana. It is the parent company of a number of American regional airlines, which together operate an extensive domestic network of feeder services on behalf of major American airlines. Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. is listed on the NASDAQ Stock Market (NASDAQ: RJET). Republic's subsidiary airlines include:

  • Chautauqua Airlines (since May-2004; ceased in 2014)
  • Republic Airways (formerly Republic Airlines, since May-2004)
  • Shuttle America (since May-2005; merger into Republic Airways completed on 17-Feb-2017).

US bankruptcy court approved Shuttle America's merger into Republic on 30-Nov-2016, and the US Department of Transportation approved the surrender of Shuttle America's air carrier certificate, effective 31-Jan-2017. Republic Airways Holdings emerged from its chapter 11 restructuring on 30-Apr-2017. The unified company will operate as a single air carrier under the Republic Airline Inc. brand, operating the world’s largest fleet of E170/E175 aircraft.
