Farnborough Rockwell Collins wins avionics contract from Bombardier

Farnborough, England (Thomson Financial) - United States aerospace engineering group Rockwell Collins Inc said Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier Inc had chosen it to supply integrated avionics systems for its new C-Series aircraft in a contract of undisclosed value.

"We are very excited to continue our long-standing relationship with Bombardier with the selection of our newest avionics offerings for the C-Series," vice president and general manager of Rockwell Collins Business & Regional Systems' business, Greg Irmen, said in a statement issued at the Farnborough Air Show. Bombardier announced yesterday that it was launching the C-Series, an aircraft with between 100 and 149 seats due to enter service in 2013.
