Australian carriers call for airspace review

Australian carriers Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Blue have called for a review of safety procedures for operations through uncontrolled airspace. The move comes after the Australian Air Navigation Services Provider (ANSP), Airservices Australia, informed the carriers that the incidence of uncontrolled airspace is likely to increase in coming months, due to an ongoing controller shortage.
