Malaysia Airports and GMR win Istanbul airport contract

Turkey's Undersecretariat for Defence Industries awarded the

Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB)/GMR Infrastructure consortium a 20-year

contract to operate Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport - the city's second airport.

The consortium offered EUR1.9 billion, successfully fending-off competition

from Fraport/IC Construction, Cukurova/ Julius Meinl Investment/Venice Airport,

Mak-Yol Construction/Eti Bakir/Airport Property Management and Esas Holding/TAV.
