European LCCs gain passengers, while network carriers lose passengers, in 2009


The European Low Fare Airline Association (EFLAA) stated its 11 members (Blue Air, bmibaby, easyJet, Flybe,, Norwegian, Ryanair, SverigeFlyg,, Vueling and Wizz Air) carried 162.5 million passengers in 2009, an 8.7% year-on-year increase, equating to an additional 13 million passengers in the year.
