Blue Air was Romania's first low-cost carrier, commencing operations in Dec-2004. The carrier's main hub is at Bucharest Otopeni International Airport, with smaller operational bases at seven European airports. The carrier operates a fleet of Boeing 737 family aircraft, flying internationally to western european destinations. On 20-Aug-2013, Blue Air Transport Aerian sold the company to new owners, Airline Management Solutions, consisting of a number of private Romanian shareholders, the company's name was subsequently changed to Blue Air - Airline Management Solutions S.R.L.
