International pax to/from Australia up 4% to 2.7m in Aug-2014, capacity (seats) also up 4% to 3.7m
Australia's Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) reports (31-Oct-2014) the following international traffic highlights to/from Australia in Aug-2014:

- Jetstar: 9.3%, +1.9 ppts;

- Air New Zealand: 7.4%, -0.3 ppt;
- Cathay Pacific: 5.0%, +0.4 ppt;
- Airasia X: 3.9%, +0.5 ppt;
- Malaysia Airlines: 3.7%, -0.5 ppt;
- Etihad Airways: 2.9%, +0.7 ppt;

BITRE also reported LCCs AirAsia X, Indonesia AirAsia, Jetstar, Jetstar Asia, Tigerair and Scoot accounted for 16.8% of total international passenger traffic to/from Australia in Aug-2014. The LCC share in Aug-2013 was 14.1%.
