International pax to/from Australia up 4% to 2.6m in Jun-2014, capacity (seats) up 6% to 3.5m
Australia's Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) reports (03-Sep-2014) the following international traffic highlights to/from Australia in Jun-2014:

- Available seats: 3.5 million, +5.6%;
- Flights: 13,923, +5.2%;
- Cargo volume: 70,057 tonnes, +0.7%;
- Aircraft movements: 14,444, +3.5%;

- Air New Zealand: 6.4%, -0.3 ppt;
- Cathay Pacific: 5.2%, +0.6 ppt;
- Malaysia Airlines: 4.6%, +0.3 ppt;

BITRE also reported low cost carriers (LCCs) AirAsia X, Indonesia AirAsia, Jetstar, Jetstar Asia, Tigerair and Scoot accounted for 16.6% of total international passenger traffic to/from Australia in Jun-2014. The LCC share in Jun-2013 was 13.5%.
