About
Montenegro Airlines was the national airline of Montenegro, with bases at Podgorica and Tivat airports.
Montenegro Airlines suspended operations on 26-Dec-2020 after the Government of Montenegro decided to not provide any further state aid for Montenegro Airlines and instead allocate around EUR30 million to launch a "completely new airline" with a different structure and business model. The new airline is expected to be established by summer 2021. The Government of Montenegro plans to enter into discussions with European regulators to retain Montenegro Airlines' slots at European airports.
