About

Baltia Air Lines was a US start-up to be based at New York JFK Airport. Baltia planned to target the underserved O&D market between New York and countries across Eastern Europe, identifying cities in Russia, Latvia, Ukraine and Belarus as likely destinations. The airline planned to operate three-class B747 equipment and offer cargo and mail transportation services. Baltia Air Lines president and CFO Anthony D Koulouris stated the carrier is embarking on a "new direction", with a planned re-branding and re-structuring programme. Shareholders approved the decision on 11-May-2017 and effectively changed its name to USGlobal Airways. US DoT revoked Baltia Air Lines' certificate authority due to dormancy in 2017.
