UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) published findings from the second round of its Hydrogen Challenge and a roadmap to 2035 for scaling hydrogen operations with small aircraft, drawing evidence from 11 projects across airports and engines1. Cranfield University reported UK-first airside trials at Exeter Airport using multiple hydrogen-powered ground support equipment during a live commercial turnaround, with a further winter-conditions GPU trial scheduled for Feb-20262 3. ZeroAvia also launched a hydrogen-electric propulsion collaboration with Safran, including work on high-temperature fuel cells4.
