Webjet launches carbon offset programme

Webjet launched (07-Sep-2020) its carbon offset programme 'Sustainable Traveller' to enable passengers to offset their services when booking. Contributions will directly support projects that protect rainforests in Peru, strengthen renewable energy work in Asia, and fund smoke free kitchens through the distribution of efficient cookstoves in Malawi. The programme is being delivered in partnership with Tasman Environmental Markets, which is providing Webjet with its BlueHalo technology, calculating the CO2 emissions of a customer's travel itinerary.
