Volotea to launch 40 new domestic routes in summer 2020

Volotea announced (20-May-2020) plans to launch 40 new domestic routes in Italy, France, Spain and Greece in summer 2020, including 15 monopoly routes. The carrier aims to provide more domestic possibilities during summer 2020 season and to facilitate journeys between mainlands and islands of Europe. Details include:

• France: 15 new routes, including five monopoly routes;
• Italy: Eight new routes, including five monopoly routes, serving Sicily, Sardinia and mainland Italy;
• Spain: 15 new routes, including five monopoly routes, with expanded connections with the Balearic and Canary Islands. The carrier will double its route offer in Spain and will operate at two new airports, Santiago de Compostela and Granada. Volotea will also double its presence with a second aircraft positioned at its Asturias and Bilbao bases;
