Virgin Australia previously unveiled its first retro livery on a new 737 MAX 8, timed to mark its 150th 737 delivery since Virgin Blue’s 2000 launch and the 100th 737 in its in-service fleet.1 As at 31-Dec-2025, the group operated 107 aircraft plus 11 domestic wet leases, with 14 737 MAX 8s after taking six deliveries in H1FY2026, and it guided to 12 more MAX 8s “over the next year”.2
