Virgin Australia CEO: 'Working together with the tourism industry is absolutely critical'

Virgin Australia CEO Jayne Hrdlicka, speaking on the sidelines at the IATA AGM, stated (03-Jun-2024) "Despite the fact that consumers are feeling cost of living pressure and the impact of inflation, they want experiences and travel - and that's fantastic news". Ms Hrdlicka added: "Working together with the tourism industry is absolutely critical. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do as an industry... It's a natural extension that we should be partnering even more closely with the tourism bodies in the countries where we operate".
