Vietnam’s Ministry of Construction reported seven new airports were expected to enter service by 2030, including Long Thanh International, Gia Binh International and Sa Pa, lifting system capacity to as much as 220 million passengers p/a and taking Vietnam to 32 airports, with five under construction.1 The ministry also advanced airport-specific master plans, including Thanh Son (4C; 1.5 million passengers p/a) and Van Don’s staged expansion to 20 million passengers p/a by 2050.2 3
