Uzbekistan Airways reported UZS152 billion net profit in 1Q2026, up 206% year-on-year, while operating revenue remained flat at UZS3900 billion.1 IATA planned to open an office in Tashkent and prepare a Billing and Settlement Plan for launch in Uzbekistan before end-2026, with IATA regional VP for Europe Rafael Schvartzman citing safety and operational efficiency benefits.2 Uzbekistan also outlined major aviation infrastructure plans, including a new Tashkent airport designed for 20 million passengers p/a and reconstruction of seven international airports.3
