The introduction of Confirm.ID followed the US TSA's move to enforce REAL ID requirements at security checkpoints from 07-May-2025, meaning only REAL ID-compliant identification or other acceptable documents would be accepted for boarding, with non-compliant passengers facing possible delays or denial of entry to checkpoints1 2. Confirm.ID provided an alternative identity verification method for those without compliant identification3.
