US Travel Association: Travel to/within the US increases 3.6% in Dec-2018
US Travel Association reported (05-Feb-2019) travel to/within the US increased 3.6% year-on-year in Dec-2018. International inbound travel also increased 2.8% during Dec-2018, but is expected to decrease to 2% through Jun-2019. US Travel Association SVP of research David Huether stated: "A projected global economic cooling and persistent trade tensions will continue to threaten international inbound travel growth". As previously reported by CAPA, international inbound travel for Nov-2018 was up 3.8%. Domestic leisure travel grew 4% in Dec-2018, with the business segment up 2.6%.
