US Senate to introduce bill to set aircraft emission standards

US Senate will introduce a bill on climate change in early Oct-2009, which will require the US Government to mandate standards for greenhouse gas emissions from new aircraft and new engines used in aircraft by 31-Dec-2012 (Reuters, 30-Sep-2009). The US Environmental Protection Agency the US Federal Aviation Administration would consult in setting the aircraft emissions standards.
