US DHS: 180 airlines and 280+ airports introduce first phase of new security requirements

US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesman David Lapan, via his official Twitter account, reported (20-Jul-2017) that as of midnight on 20-Jul-2017 all 180 airlines and more than 280 last point of departure (LPD) airports around the world implemented the first phase of the enhanced aviation security measures requested by the US.
