US Consumer Confidence Index increases moderately

US Consumer Confidence Index improved (26-Jan-2010) to 55.9 in Jan-2010 (1985=100), up from 53.6 in Dec-2010, according to The Conference Board. The short-term outlook for consumers is "moderately more positive, but does not suggest any significant pickup in activity in the coming months". [more]
