US BTS reports 1% rise in passenger numbers in Aug-2016, 85% load factor

US Bureau of Transportation Statistic (BTS) reported (10-Nov-2016) the following total system (domestic and international) traffic results for US airlines in Aug-2016:

• Passenger numbers: 73.4 million, +0.8% year-on-year;
• Passenger traffic (RPMs): +1.1%;
• Capacity (ASMs): +3.3%;
